Clinical Pilates and Group Classes in a Physio Clinic

Clinical Pilates, hydro groups, falls prevention, knee and hip OA classes, pre- and post-natal: classes keep patients active after their one-to-one care ends and earn more per hour of practitioner time. But a class is not an appointment. It has many people, a number of places and a roll. This guide explains how classes work in Clinidiary.

Set up your classes

Under Manage → Items → Classes, create each class: its name, length, number of places, price, and which practitioners and sites run it.

Sessions in the diary

Each time a class runs is a session in the diary, beside one-to-one appointments. Reception books people in and sees how many places are left. A session never takes more people than it has places, even when two people book at the same moment.

When a class is full

A full session can keep a queue, so when someone drops out the next person can take the place.

Booked online

Classes can be offered on your online booking page, so patients choose their own session.

Take the roll

Mark each person as attended, did not come, or cancelled late. Attendance is recorded on each patient's file.

Packs for classes

Classes are usually sold as packs: a 10-class Pilates pack or a term of hydro. Set up a pack that covers your class types and each attendance draws from it. See packs and credits.

Which classes work

The Class statistics report shows attendance by class, and clinic reports show revenue, so you can see which sessions fill and which should move.
